Who is responsible

What happens when you visit

Hosting. This site is hosted by A2 Hosting, Inc. (hosting.com), with servers in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. Like every web server, it records technical data for each request: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page and your browser type. The host keeps these logs for a limited time for security and operation. We don't use them to identify you or build profiles.

Cloudflare. Pages are delivered through Cloudflare, Inc. (San Francisco, USA), which protects the site from attacks and speeds up delivery. Cloudflare processes your IP address and request data for this purpose. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

The legal basis for both is our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Transfers to the USA rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Cloudflare) and the provider's standard contractual clauses (hosting).

Cookies, analytics and ads

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, ads, third-party fonts or embedded videos. If that changes, this policy will say what was added before it goes live.

Store links

When you click a store link, you leave this site. Amazon or the brand's store may then set cookies to record that you came from us, under their own privacy policies. We only receive sales totals, never your name or what you bought.

Email

If you email us, we use your address and message to reply and delete them when the conversation is finished (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Email us to use any of these rights.

You can also complain to a data protection authority. Ours is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Rhineland-Palatinate.
